Aleah, this hits home on so many levels for me. you are an incredible writer and I LOVE all of it, especially this part:
Jesus' love does not wait on us. His love does not wait on us to "get fixed". His love does not depend on our condition. He loves us because we are His children. And "God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." (Romans 5:8) God shows His love to His children in that while we were still broken, sick, dying, He wrapped His arms tight around us and loved us to His death.
thank you.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16779967765416107053noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9168790771618655676.post-12273342585505914142014-02-25T20:25:13.302-05:002014-02-25T20:25:13.302-05:00I listened to the song last night and thought simi...I listened to the song last night and thought similar things, but you wrote it down in a much more eloquent way compared to my fleeting thoughts. Thank you for taking a Biblical World View and fashioning thoughts into words to declare, "There is no God like Jehovah." Even those who will never meet the "standard" because of physical or mental limitations. Our family has faced many such decisions, and we have learned to live with the lump in our throat and joy in our heart. But there is only One way to learn to live through the pain; Trust. If our eyes are on our Savior, the road ahead looks like an adventure. If our eyes are on the situation, the road ahead looks frightening and steep. Praying for you my friend, and asking God to do exceedingly beyond what we can ask or think for your family while your travel on this journey!Dawnhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00702443342058853180noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9168790771618655676.post-80249026475934014072013-11-14T19:30:24.192-05:002013-11-14T19:30:24.192-05:00Well said, well lived, and well done! As you may remember, my mom and I started calling the hospital room our classroom and God used that time (and every time since) to teach us many Life lessons. Your blog seems to have a similar theme. Also, our church's small groups have been doing a 12 week study on 1 Peter. So, when I read the title of your Blog, I couldn't help but think of Peter. ;-)Kathrynhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04056115217934725774noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9168790771618655676.post-39021496022392241122013-11-01T14:42:19.307-04:002013-11-01T14:42:19.307-04:00Looking forward to this series, Aleah.
